How to Verify

Verification protects your balance from anyone who is not you, and it is required before a first withdrawal on most accounts. It usually takes one upload and a few hours.

What to prepare

A government-issued photo ID - passport, driving licence or national ID card. A proof of address dated within the last three months, such as a utility bill or bank statement. And, where source of funds is requested, a bank or exchange statement covering your deposits.

Taking a good photo

Lay the document flat in daylight, capture all four corners inside the frame, and check the text is in focus before you upload. Cropped edges and photographs of a screen are the two most common reasons an upload is rejected.

How long it takes

Most submissions are reviewed within a few hours. You are emailed when the outcome is recorded, and the state of each document is always visible in your account.

If a document is rejected

The reason is shown alongside the rejection. Upload a corrected copy - there is no limit on attempts, and a rejection does not count against your account.
